Medical Certification
A Class 2 Medical Certificate from an Aviation Medical Examiner is required before solo.
- Class 2 Medical for PPL (Class 1 for CPL)
- Vision: 20/40 corrected in each eye
- Hearing: conversational voice at 6 feet
- No disqualifying neurological conditions
- We connect you with a local AME
Age Requirements
You can begin training early — there is no upper age limit for private flying.
- Solo at 17 years old
- PPL issued at 18 years old
- CPL issued at 10 years old
- Airline Career Pathway: 18+ at enrollment
- No maximum age for private training
Educational Prerequisites
A high-school foundation is all you need to begin; the commercial track requires a diploma.
- High school diploma or equivalent (CPL track)
- Basic English proficiency (aviation language)
- No prior aviation or STEM background required
- Written knowledge test before checkride
Visas & International Students
