Before the Flight

1. Booking and Confirmation:

   • Reserve your spot by contacting the flight school or experience provider in your chosen location. Confirm the date and time of your flight

2. Pre-Flight Briefing:

   • Arrive at the location 30 minutes before your flight to attend a briefing. This will cover:

     • Safety protocols

     • Aircraft familiarisation, including controls, instruments, and emergency procedures

     • A brief overview of the flight plan

3. Medical Considerations:

   • Ensure you are in good health. Inform the instructor about any medical conditions that could affect your ability to fly.

4. Proper Attire:

   • Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. Avoid loose items that could become entangled in the aircraft's controls.

5. Documentation:

   • Bring a valid ID or a Passport

During the Flight

​

1. Boarding the Aircraft:

   • Follow your instructor's lead to board the Cessna 172. Sit in the pilot's seat and buckle your seatbelt.

2. Pre-Flight Checks:

   • The instructor will conduct a pre-flight check, during which you may assist. This includes checking fuel levels, controls, instruments, and safety equipment.

3. Takeoff:

   • After receiving clearance from air traffic control, the flight will begin. Your instructor will explain the takeoff procedure and allow you to participate in the controls if comfortable.

4. In-Flight Experience:

   • Enjoy the flight as the instructor guides you through basic maneuvers. You may have the chance to:

     • Control the aircraft

     • Practice turns, climbs, and descents

     • Experience the sensation of flying

5. Approach and Landing:

   • Your instructor will guide you through the landing process. Depending on your comfort level, you may assist in landing the aircraft.

 

Post-Flight
